Solid waste collection services are delivered under 10 Contract Lots based on the ten Sub Metro Areas in the Kumasi Metropolis. Two systems of collection are employed (i.e. House-to-house and Communal) in each of Sub Metro Areas. The house-to-house collection system attracts a fee of GHÃ?â??Ã?¢5 per 1st Class, GHÃ?â??Ã?¢4 for 2nd Class and GHÃ?â??Ã?¢3 for 3rd Class residential areas respectively. The rates are charged per bin per month.
